The Sims 3 Review

Would it not be cool to actually be able to control someone's life and daily activities? Some people might think of it as impossible, but it can actually happen through a video game called The Sims 3!

The Sims 3 is a life simulation game that was first released on June 2, 2009. It is one of the best life simulation games I have ever played till date. EA reported that in its first week, The Sims 3 sold 1.4 million copies. According to EA, this was the most successful PC game launch the company had ever had to date.
There are a lot of things you can do in this video game. First you have to Create A Sim to move on. You can chose from a range of hairstyles, clothes and shoes.

You can then chose whether you want your Sim as a new born, child, teen, young adult, adult or an elder. You can also change the weight of a person and add muscles to him\her. You also have to choose traits of the Sim like Inappropriate, Slob and Hopeless Romantic. The last and the most important step is to choose a Lifetime Wish for your Sim. According to the traits you choose, five options appear for a Lifetime Wish. After you create a Sim, it is the time to chose a house whether furnished or unfurnished. It is your choice.
After that, you can start playing!

Not only the daily activities, but you can also control the relationships of the Sims (people). For example, if you want to get into a romantic relationship, you have to actually interact with Sims in order to move forward to the next level of your relationship. It actually feels like it is happening to you in real life. You can even have affairs with other Sims while being married. Through expansion packs available in markets, you can add a lot of cool additional features like pets, new clothing, hairstyles etc.

In one particular expansion pack named Late Night, you have the ability to turn into a vampire through contact with other vampires. You can change back to normal if you want. In another expansion pack called Pets, you can bring animals in your house like horses, cats and dogs. If you do not feed or take care of your pet properly, a social worker is sent to your Sims home to take back the pet.

Moving back to the base game, if you do not follow the regime of a Sim, the Sim starts getting exhausted, feels nauseous and start smelling. A Sim can also have a child if he\she wants.

Some wishes appear soon that if are completed, make your Sim earn Lifetime Happiness points through which you can buy things like an Accomplished Writer.

In a few words, it is a game that I recommend to all who love this genre. Even the people who hate this genre, will start loving it after learning its features. So, go get it.

So, I give it a good 8.5\10.
